2015:Marquez received Wisconsin’s Martin Luther King Heritage Award and LULAC Ladies League’s Inovadora Award
2014: LASP won a visit from the John Lennon Bus and was featured in the NAMM Music Education National Conference
2013: Cello instructor Trischa Loebl named Youth Music Instructor of the Year; Marquez named one of Milwaukee’s 20 Most Creative People
2012: Marquez received National Afterschool Innovators Award; Wilson Center for the Performing Arts’ Eddie Award; Marquez named Teacher of the Year by the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and Civic Music Association
2010: Marquez invited back to the White House with several of her students as part of First Lady Michelle Obama’s efforts to promote the arts
2009: Marquez named Milwaukee Artist of the Year by the Milwaukee Arts Council
2008: LASP awarded National Coming up Taller Award, given by a Presidential Committee and the National Endowment for the Arts and the Humanities, hosted at the White House in Washington, D.C.
