Bodas de Sangre/Blood Wedding
Bodas de Sangre/Blood Wedding
Written By Federico Garcia Lorca Directed and Adapted by Carolina Soza | January, 2005
Love, honor, death: were all ingredients in this tragedy set against the turbulent background of the era of the Spanish Civil War. Inspired by a true story of a young bride who escapes an arranged marriage to be with her lover, the plot spiraled into betrayal and violence. Flamenco dance by members of the Iberian Spanish Dancers and original music drove home the drama of Lorca's famous 1933 play of rural life and passions.
