The Big Idea IV: Stretch & Explore is an exhibition commemorating the ALMA (Avanzando Lectura y Matematicas a traves del Arte/Advancing Literacy and Math through Art) Program, which showcases the artistic knowledge and skill of Bruce-Guadalupe Elementary and Middle School students in 3rd through 8th grades. From 2010-2014, ALMA was largely made possible by an Arts in Education Model Development and Dissemination grant from the U.S. Department of Education. In 2014, the College Board recognized ALMA for Excellence and Innovation in the Arts, in the category of Arts Integration. In 2015, Wisconsin Art Educators Association awarded Bruce-Guadalupe Community School the James A. Schwalbach Award for Outstanding Contributions by as Institution to Art Education.
