The energy and precision of merengue music came alive in this expansive exhibition of numerous mediums—including photography, sculpture, painting, and video. More than forty-five pieces of art by over twenty-seven classical and contemporary artists captured the many facets of the Dominican Republic's national music through analyzing the rhythm's artistic components and environmental contexts.
